First, the styling I get from UnTappd. Because of the heavy hops, I'd have styled this an APA. But I go with the flow. Bought on-line from south London's Hops Burns & Black. (Their two stores are close to proud Peckham.)
Celebrating their tenth year, Elusive clearly is in the Next Wave of British brewing and seem to be a force within it. They help organise an annual collaboration "contest." Last year's had 10 micros. (I'd only drank brews from only 4 of them, so my 6 months here -- all that is allowed foreigners -- is not as comprehensive as I thought.) Anyhow, Elusive's business reminds me of several micros in North America who did well by encouraging their "competitors." And for that, I give Elusive excellent Overall Hugs.
As for Menace, I enjoyed it... but probably won't again. It could use a more lasting foam and its average Looks are a bit hazy for EPAs. Smells are better with aromatic hops kicking up fruit and maybe some pine. Tastes are too heavy hoppy for this malt-head to appreciate; I call it average for EPAs, a gentle style. Medium-mouthed, though with lots going on. Cheers !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
