650 ml, bomber, drank from bottle. Found this one on sale, so it might not be the best example of the beer since it was probably old, especially considering it traveled 3288 km to get to Winnipeg. I found it a bit skunky (even though it's in a brown tinged bottle) the skunkiness was accompanied with a raspberry aftertaste, not much emphasis on the hops from what i noticed probably because it was so skunky.. Still was a nice change from having a hoppy one to start, with an amber brown afterwards and than a more skunky beer to finish. It kind of reminded me of a less skunky Corona with a raspberry finish. For the price it wasn't bad, and i'm curious what it would taste like fresh off the tap, but i probably wouldn't choose it as my first choice.

650ml bottle courtesy of Yukon Dave, the best beer rep I have ever met. Poured into Sam Adams pint glass.

Pours a clear copper with one finger of off-white head that leaves snowy mountain landscape lace as it recedes.

Smells of unripe raspberry, lemon and orange rind, unsalted cracker and mild leafy floral hops.

Tastes of raspberry and citrus juice, more light doughy pale malt, and more polite hops.

Feels light and smooth. Medium bodied with mildly frothy carbonation. Finishes off-dry.

Verdict: Recommended. Refreshing summer beer.

Appearance - Pours a light amber with three fingers of foamy off white head.

Smell - bready malts, citrus (orange, lemon), hint of raspberry, floral and earthy hops.

Taste - Bready malts upfront. The citrus (orange, lemon) and hint of raspberry provide somewhat of a tartness. The floral and earthy hops round out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes off dry with a lingering tartness.

Overall - An easy drinking fruit beer. I was hoping that the raspberry and citrus would be more predominant but it is definitely sessionable.

650ml bottle - an ale brewed with raspberries and citrus, is all one might infer from the info on the label. That, and I have no idea whose version of the titular song they're referencing - Marylin Monroe's, maybe?

This beer pours a clear, bright medium copper amber colour, with two fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and a bit bubbly off-white head, which leaves some springtime mountain snow cap lace around the glass as it quickly beats it outta town.

It smells of green raspberries, muddled generic citrus rind, grainy and lightly crackery pale malt, a touch of earthy yeast, and very plain leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is thankfully stronger ripe raspberry, orange and lemon fleshy citrus, bready and doughy pale malt, a hint of caramel-tinged cereals, still loitering yeasty notes, and more understated floral, weedy, and dead leafy hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly active in its testy and supportive frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and mostly smooth, with a small airy creaminess arising as things warm up a tad. It finishes off-dry, the mixed lingering fruitiness working in tandem with the waning malt to essentially elbow all others out of the scene.

Overall, this is a satisfying fruity brew, even if the dual guest stars don't exactly bring their A-game, and yeah, my expectations could be a mite bit high, but, unlike PM Trudeau, I'm not a big fan of apologizing. Anyways, an easy to drink, patio-weather tipple, and all that - I'm just gonna enjoy the rest of this as I exit stage, um, let's just say right.
