Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance β The beer is served a deep brown color with a small cream colored head. The head fades relatively quickly leaving just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell βThe aroma of the brew is strongest of a cola and slightly roasted smell with some notes of nut. Along with these smells comes a light earthy and herbal hop smell.
Taste-The taste begins with kind of weak roasted malt taste mixed with rather strong cola and molasses sweetness. As the taste moves on a little more roast and a hint of nut come to the taste. At the very end a tiny bit of herb comes as well, and with an even bigger increase in a cola like flavor one is left with a lightly roasted and sweet taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel β The body of the brew is on the slightly lower side in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average. For the sweeter and cola tastes of the beer the feel is rather nice and creates a more refreshing style.
Overall β The big cola flavor is a little bit of a turn-off for me, but other than that it is not all that bad of a flavor and actually makes for a more refreshing brew with the lighter body.
