Appearance - The beer is served a reddish orange color with just a hint of head.
Smell- The aroma is very sweet with tons of caramel and dark fruit of raisin, plum, and cherry. Along with these smells comes other aromas of citrus and a bit of grain and light booze. Overall the smell is sweet and inviting.
Taste - The taste begins very sweet, with caramel, dark fruits, citrus, and tons of molassas. These flavors are a base and remain throughout the taste profile. Other lighter flavors of a citrus hop and a bit of grain join toward the tongue toweard the middle of the profile. With a surge of sweetness at the very end one is left with a somewhat cloyingly sweet taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is super heavy with a carbonation level that is rather light. For the super sweet tastes of the beer the feel is great bathing the tongue in all the sweet flavors.
Overall- The flavor profile was great, but for me it was sweet beyond sweet, and slightly unbalanced. Good flavors, but slightly over the top and one I had a bit trouble finishing a whole glass of.
