Appearance – The beer is served a hazy orange color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave tons of streaky lace on the sides of the glass
Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of a sweet citrus hop and a moderate pine smell. Along with these aromas comes smell of rye bread and a strong doughy smell. There are also some spice and a bit of grass, which produce an inviting and sweeter aroma overall..
Taste – The taste begins with some rye bread flavors with a little bit citrus and pine. The pine stays fairly consistent throughout the taste until the end where it surges in dank bitterness. All the while, the rye gets slightly weaker in flavor and turns doughier toward the end, which makes the brew sweeter in taste. At the finish of the taste, the citrus hop gets more bitter with some other flavors of spice coming to the tongue. In the end, the mix of flavors leaves one with a rather chewy and slightly dank, sweet, and bitter taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that is rather moderate. The thicker body was rather nice for rye tastes and allowed all the hop and doughy sweet flavors to really be appreciated. Overall the feel was pretty good.
Overall- A pretty tasty brew overall with some nice dank and citrus hop mixed with a light rye and doughy flavor. A rather fun one to try.
