Served on tap in a snifter glass
Appearance- The beer is served a hazy orange-amber color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head has rather good retention, fading slowly over time to leave a nice level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of some sweeter tropical fruit aromas of pineapple and tangerine as well as having some mango. Along with these aromas comes some pine and herbal hops, creating a rather nice inviting aroma overall.
Taste- The taste begins with some of the doughy and tropical fruit tastes that were detected in the nose. The tropical fruit is mainly of a mango and papaya flavor with some nice citrus flavors of orange and tangerine mixed within. From the start there is a grapefruit and herbal hop flavor. These flavors remain consistent throughout the taste and are joined by some of hop flavors pine as the taste advances. The pine increases to the end, all while the grapefruit citrus hop increases as well, and with the nice doughy and fruity tastes, one is left with a nice mix of dank and citrus hop all mixed with a very flavorful malty/fruity base.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is slightly lower. For the dank and citrus hop, fruity, and doughy tastes the thick body and lower carbonation are spot on, making this one a nice easily sipper.
Overall – This brew is rocking. It is super flavorful and balanced, and at 8.1 % is almost too easily drinkable with all its well balanced flavors. Note: I said almost too easily drinkable…. This is a fantastic brew. Go get yourself one if you can. It’s very well done.
