Multi-oat/wheat triple IPA brewed and dry-hopped with Citra, Comet & Simcoe hops. My favorite DIPA recipe (Dead Men On Holiday), scaled up to the specs of the Assayer.

Served in a snifter glass from 750ml growler.
Appearance: hazy and cloudy light gold color with a white head which initially rose half a fingers length off the body.
Smell: floral aroma. Dissipates quickly.
Taste: Comes off semi sweet, consisting of oatmeal and slightly sweet malt. Hops offset this brew cresting a rich bagel bread type of feel in the palates.
Mouth: Sticky aftertaste with a soft carbonation, almost like a nitro c02 blend. Zesty grapefruit skin feel at the finish.
Overall: Awesome grab. Feels like a meal in glass, tasty smooth body.

Canned on 8/17/22; consumed on 9/15/22
Pours a turbid, deep mango-gold body topped with a finger of creamy, white foam; decent head retention yields a sparse, paper-thin cap, a thin, frothy collar, and limited spread of soapy, webby/spotty lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aromas of grapefruit compote and lime zest supercede creamy mango and peach skins, projecting an overt, tangy sweetness over tamer notes of chunky stone fruit.
Taste opens to grapefruit syrup and hints of lime zest, with accents of distant mango finding creamy passionfruit over the mid-palate into tangerine and slight resins on the back end.
Mouthfeel brings a dense, medium-full body accompanied with a spritzy fluff of moderate carbonation; juicy textures meet an oncoming pseudo-bitterness, leaving a prickle trending to silky grit lingering through the back end.
Excessively sweet and largely imbalanced, nuanced resins depart in favor of saturated, one-dimensional hop excess; not a total miss, but a far departure from the usually deft composure of Root + Branch IPAs.

L: Pours a frothy honeycomb and cantaloupe hue with an ample foamy head and delicate lacing
S: Ripe oranges, pineapples, and passion fruit on the nose
T: Straight creamy orange sherbet smoothie with a dose of peach gummy rings and no discernible alcohol burn - smooth
F: Fluffy and soft with a moderate carb
O: Have heard awesome things about Root + Branch and this TIPA is a knockout. Checks pretty much every box you'd want in a NE IPA. Hope this is the start of good things to come
