Canned on 8/10/22; consumed on 9/8/22
Pours a turbid, milky pale gold body capped with a finger and a half of fluffy, white foam; decent head retention yields a slight, creamy cap, thin, frothy collar, and comprehensive array of webby/spotty lacing distributed across the walls of the glass.
Aromas bring robust wheated/oat sensations readily apparent upfront, with accents of lime welcoming a composting amalgam of citrus peels and grassy hops linger to tinges of passionfruit toward the back end.
Taste shows notes of lime and musty grass upfront, soon invigorated by grapefruit zest over the mid-palate as a subtle cream of wheat backbone is detailed with sweeter guava essence toward the finish.
Mouthfeel presents a medium-full body, the wheaty density a smooth backbone to a moderate carbonation as a soft hop twang cuts persistently creamy textures into a gritty fluff on the back end.
Silken textures permeate a passive hop profile, leaving a pleasantly bright yeg unremarkable pale ale perhaps too reliant on the plushness of the wheat/oat addition.
