Draft pour at Queue Beer in Brooklyn, NY. (December 2024 / Batch 2)
By far the best Root and Branch beer I've had. Nose of cocoa powder. Hoppy, roasty and smooth. Lighter carbonation.

On tap at Queue Beer in Brooklyn, NY.
This one pours a dark golden brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like spicy and herbal hops, toasted bread, and honey.
This is a really solid brown ale – a bit more hop forward than a European take on a brown ale, but not aggressively so. The spiciness of the hops meld well with the wonderful toastiness of the malt character. There’s a light honey sweetness, but it’s well balanced and not too sweet at all, with very little of the typical caramel flavors of the style.
This is creamy, and pretty rich for the style, with a very nice drinkable.
I know that Root + Branch mainly does IPAs, and seem to do them well, but this was still quite tasty.
