A - Low head. Low-to-no carbonation. Some good lacing. And a nice color of Canadian maple syrup.

S - Hoppy (chinook I think). No yeast smells, some mild roasted malts.

T - Sugars, corn syrup, tones of toasted rye. The balance between the smell and the taste is off. Some acidic notes.

M - Surprisingly smooth. But still lacks some body. Too watery for me.

D - The 3rd beer out of 5 I've reviewed from Belle Isle, and so far the best one. It's not bad. Drinkable even, but the balance is off.

Pours to a thin head with minimal lacing and a light amber-gold color with good clarity. Aroma is a tired old caramel and butterscotch. Flavor is a light caramel and slight nutty and chocolatey amalgamation with no discernible hop notes. Mouthfeel is watery as expected. Overall, this is a VERY session-able 3.2% ABW kidney-flush beer. Tasty, a bit weird, but when you want this style, there it is!

Had a 2 oz sample during dinner that wasn't that great.
But This one was filled by a friend.

Growler refilled on-site -> A couple pint glasses

A ~ Looks good. Typical amber. 1/4" head

S ~ Dried barley & sweet buttered biscuit (super faint) No Hops yet.

T ~ Faint hops, dry wheat bread & cherries (surprise!)
Also little hints of yeast & oakiness.

M ~ Very sleek but there's a semi-dry finish that saves it.

D ~ Drinkable, but I'd like more body.

Almost like this more than the IPA,
but not quite.

I'm reviewing this one again as I think it is better this time around. (as did all of the Belle Isle beers on this time at the bar)

A clear light amber brew with a smallish head. Malty aroma and flavor. I can taste a nice bit of maple. It reminds me a lot of Paulaner Salvator, except not as heavy and certainly less alcohol.

Very smooth mouthfeel. I think this beer improved as it got warmer. I definitely will be drinking it more in the future.

Came here for dinner and enjoyed a beer on special. They did not have an IPA or APA here; so I decided to try the Brown Ale (their special brew).

This had a short amount of head on top of the body, yet it stayed on the side of the glass as I drank it. Had a lot of flavor to it and was the better beer I had here. A lot of color and a great smell of a little hops with some caramel.

Not my usual type of beer, but I would drink it again.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark amber with a slight head. Has a caramel sweet smell. Medium bodied with a pleasing mouthfeel. Taste is caramel sweet with a nice roasted malt base. Finishes with a toasted grain taste on the palate. Another tasty brew from this unheralded brewery.
