Darkest brown body; thin tan head; relatively dense and creamy; some honey-combed splotches of lacing along the glass. Charred grain aroma; bitter chocolate. Full roasted and charred grain flavor; fine bitterness from husk char and hop bitterness; bitter chocolate. Heavy body; smooth and oily; lots of residual sugar heft.
A solid imperial stout, delivering a rich and heavy palate full of dark and chewy roast grain and chocolatey sweetness. The alcohol is well-hidden yet potent. Well-balanced and enticingly complex.
