Clear, dark brown body; dense and creamy head, rocky. Prominent smoke smell oozing through some rich malt richness. Intense smoke flavor backed with some rich caramel and roasted grain notes; nutty; heavy sweetness (but not overpowering). Heavy body; sticky and warm; chewy; smooth and oily.
In my opinion, this is smoked beer done right. Cerberus' offering reminds me a lot of Aecht Schlenkerla rauchbiers: rich and malty with a bold smoke taste that nicely complements the base beer. Like their Polish Grodziskie-style beer (coming it at a low 2.8% ABV but nicely smoked, too), they have their shit dialed in for smoked beers. Get it while you can!
