Golden honey colored body; sparse carbonation yet a thick, semi-creamy head, dense and having great retention; thick, sticky webs and fingers of foam grace the glass. Very pleasant light grain sweetness of the nose. Cracker and biscuit flavor, subtly sweet; bitterness starts slowly then builds to a lingering intensity at the finish. Medium body; nice residual sugar feel; semi-dry throughout.
The brewery calls this a west coast style India pale ale, but to me, it seems more malt-forward and more like an English IPA. In any case, it has a fine balance and complexity. A nice collaborative effort between three Colorado Springs breweries.
Pouring temperature: 46 °F; crowler canning data: 4/20/22
