A bit of nitro charm inspired by drafts from the old country. Let that cascade of foam transport you to a dark, quiet pub, where an old man in the corner sings songs of freedom and rebellion, in turn. Smooth on the palate with a bitter finish courtesy of EKG hops, Chuckie R. Law is the Irish Stout for all seasons.

Jet black and opaque in the glass; fairly thick and dense head, one-finger thick and lasting. Dark malt nose with subdued notes of vanilla and light chocolate. Initial taste of subtle dark malt and light cocoa sweetness followed by a very bold sense of bitterness. Medium-heavy body; very smooth and velvety; fine mild residual sugar stickiness.
Generally an OK nitro dry Irish stout although the intense bitterness (the server 'warned' me about it) is quite prominent. It also seems a bit weak in the malt flavor.
Pouring temperature: 45.3 °F
