Brightly clear, golden body; fairly dense carbonation with fat, slow-rising bubbles; thick, frothy head, white with a creamy texture on top. Fine resiny nose with a light dose of zesty spiciness. The taste amps up the smell; low-key biscuit-like malt base with a bold hop bitterness; peppery spiciness. Medium-light mouthfeel, tickling carbonation prickliness offsetting a smooth, velvety residual sugar dryness.
This is one well-done session India pale ale. It packs a lot of old school west coast-style IPA qualities. Balanced, complex, and very tasty.
ABV: 4.8%; pouring temperature: 43.8 °F; crowler canning date: 2/24/25
