Dark and clear pour; appears opaque in the glass; thick, frothy, khaki colored head, frothy with a creamy texture on top. Fine aroma blend; cocoa and chocolate with roasted chili peppers. Light cocoa-like malt base with a gentle sweetness; nice chili pepper flavors slowly develop halfway through the sip and build towards the finish with a moderate intensity. Medium bodied; smooth and silky; excellent chili pepper warmth.
This is a tasty chili pepper porter. It is nicely balanced and displays both the base beer and chili pepper adjuncts in equally pleasing proportions.
