Picked up a half liter bottle at a getrankemarkt in northern Bavaria dated best by 16.08.24. Pretty standard Hefe but on the lighter side. Typical flavors from the style, quite smooth, not overpowering like some can be. Delicious. The low ratings here make no sense but it ain’t an IPA so I guess it’s not a good beer to the BA crowd.

Served from the bottle at the Fassla Brewery, Bamberg.

A- Cloudy Deep gold. Thick pillowy head, great retention, lots of lacing.

S- Spiciness, yeast and toasted malts. Floral hints.

T- Typical hefeweizen, very yeasty and hints of citrus. Bitter aftertaste.

M- Full bodied with lots of carbonation.

D- Not a bad beer, but not super impressed. A pretty typical hefeweizen. The Bambergator wasn't available so I tried this instead.

It has golden almost brass color to its cloudy body. The head is decent and off white as is the thick lace. The aroma and the flavor are both doughy with some fruit like esters. Typical taste for the most part lemon, clove and banana. It has a medium body with quite a bit of carbonation. Great beer overall.

The color is light, opalescent. Beautiful head, even if it is a little too low.
The smell is breadcrust, banana, yeast, wheat, but even touches of herbal hops. There is not a note prevailing upon the others.
Balanced and complex. Some fruity too, of white fruit. And then citric.
The taste is less various. It is right, with more accent on the yeast. Good, in any case. Light banana, with a good sweetness in background.
Medium-light body.
Aftertaste on the same notes, bread, banana, yeast.
Maybe it could be, on the long distance, a little too sweet?
