Enjoyed during a recent Bamberg visit while in the company of BierManVA and his friend Mark.
Poured mahogany colored, and was clear within. Had a frothy, light tan head, lasting well with good stick. Darker colored than most Märzens. Great, appetizing color, nonetheless. Had a light, toasty malt nose with some caramel. Medium mouthfeel all in all. Light caramel malt flavor starts; a touch sweet at first. More toastiness follows, in a crisp, clean bier. Very light hopping at the end tries to round things out. Decent, but not a keeper.
