Served from a halbelitre bottle into a Weissbier glass in Fassla in Bamberg, Franconia. Reviewed from notes. I recall thinking it was strange that this wasn't offered on-draught.
A: Pours a two finger head lacking in cream, of fair thickness, and of average retention. Colour is a hazy cloudy yellow.
Sm: Lemon esters amidst other citrusy notes. Slight souring hops/bacteria. A light strength aroma.
T: Lemon and citrus ester hops atop a wheat foundation that lacks full expression. A mild strength taste, but a balanced one. It isn't horribly complex, but it's nicely refreshing and succeeds at its simple aim. It's hoppier than expected. Nicely built. It isn't bold, but it's welcome.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Clean and crisp. It's straightforward and complementary of the flavours it supports. Not too thick or too thin.
Dr: The ABV is typical. It's very drinkable and refreshing. Fairly priced by German standards, even just drinking in at the brewery.
