Look: Gold leaning orange in color with a lively off-white head that quickly builds and fizzles to a lid just as quick, and leaves minimal lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly cut grass, spicy hop notes, wafts of an herb garden, limes, pilsner malt, a floral bouquet, and crackers
Taste: Whoa. A huge hit of spiciness combined with freshly cut grass races onto the palate, quickly followed by pilsner malt. Herbal and floral fresh hop goodness strikes next, along with lime, and shines on their own before blending with the spicy and grassy notes through the close
Mouthfeel: Light but not watery, clean, medium-high carbonation, and crisp and clean on the finish with a kiss of dryness
Overall: This is some good stuff. I haven’t had much from these folks but love a good fresh hop lager, especially one that utilizes ones that don’t get a lot of run in the fresh hop world these days – Magnum & Cascade. Cascade brings the floral and lime while Magnum brings the spicy and herbal notes with both having good fresh hop presence with the grassy note. Definitely worth the buy and glad I had the opportunity to try this tasty beer
