A very enjoyable Belgian Blonde Ale!!! Poured from a16 oz. can into a tulip glass (from the late lamented Virginia Beach Beer Store - Grape and Gourmet), this beer featured a bubbly white head with about average retention and no lacing and a nice deep golden/light amber color with a lot of carbonation in the body. Aroma and taste included lots of yeast, some light fruit (apples and pears) and a little candi sugar sweetness. Quite tasty. Mouthfeel is light and somewhat sweet, minimal alcohol presence and pleasant fruity and yeasty presence. Very enjoyable, worth a try!!!

I don't see a date code on the can, but there was a sticker on top of the four-pack that says "CANNED ON 02/08/23"

Appearance: The body of the beer is a medium shade of gold with a bit of a darker amber hue that comes in when the glass is resting away from light. It has a short white head that has a bit of a creamy texture with some light foamy bubbles. It doesn't have much head retention and it doesn't leave any noticeable lacing. There is also a light bit of haze to the beer. It looks rather lackluster but it isn't poor looking.

Aroma: Some clove hits the nose along with nail polish remover. There isn't anything else going on with this beer.

Taste: There is a bit of banana and some clove up front. This solventy flavor comes through a bit with what tastes the way nail polish remover smells. Phenolic plastic flavor near the back of the palate.

Mouthfeel: It feels wet and medium-light bodied. It has awkward drinkability due to the flavor and aroma profiles.

Overall: The can states that this is an "ABBEY ALE" and there are little hearts on the can where some say "GOLD N' STRONG." As a Belgian Style Ale it has some positive yeast characters like the clove and banana. It also has this odd nail polish remover aroma and flavor which really hampers drinkability. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't buy it again.
