A classic Belgian style Saison, golden hued & light in body; notes of peppercorn & star anise. Fermented with a French Saison yeast strain for a crisp dry finish.

Pours a copper / orange / cranberry color with a small amount of fizzy white head. Aroma has an appropriate amount of yeasty funk. Taste has some floral and light fruit notes. Light and lively.

Active swirling pour... Two fingers worth of chunky bone white froth... Decent retention... Color is a hazy pale straw color... Nice aroma - faint hops, loads of wheat, some horse blanket and white pepper... Palate has all the flavors present but they are more compressed and not as much complexity as hoped... Dry, medium bodied with brisk carbonation... Nice Americanized saison, but a bit rough around the edges...
