Clear, reddish-brown body; nice carbonation; thin, soapy, off-white head. Huge sweetness to the nose; caramel and brown sugar with hints of dried figs and dates; slight woodiness and bourbon note. Big malt sweetness to the flavor, dripping with caramel and molasses; candi sugar; some nuttiness; boozy; earthy spiciness. Heavy body; smooth and oily on the palate; alcohol dryness permeates the residual sugars.
Big and malty with a firm boozy bite aptly describes this beer. Pretty tasty overall.
Poured at 51 °F; no canning date information other than 2021 listed on the label.

Released 6/5/21; drank 9/6/21 @ the Yarchives.
Murky purple/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge, noisy khaki head which quickly dissipated; frothy lace.
Cherry, dill pickle, bourbon heat & faint plum notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Yeah, yeah, Old Fashioned vibes, but the dry barrel notes evoke dill pickle, which do this beer no favors. Not one I'll seek out again.

A: The beer is slightly hazy dark amber in color and has a low amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a narrow collar of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of cherries and dark fruits are present in the nose along with hints of alcohol.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of caramel and hints of bourbon with little to no associated alcohol.
M: It feels full-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting take on the quad, although the fruitless of the underlying beer really stands out so it's tough to really appreciate the bourbon barrel aging.

Caramel color with a finger of head. Peculiar aroma. Smells sweet and woody. Flavor is sweet and hot from alcohol. Not a very good combination. Notes of caramel, dark fruit, oak, and bourbon. Flavor is cloying. Big body and adequately carbonated. I would not call this a sweet mess of a beer but it is not good either.

16 ounce can into a snifter. Released 6/4/21, had 6/18/21.
Pours kind of a garnet/copper color, semi opaque but clear, with a short head and a ring of foam that follows down the glass. Aromas of caramel, malt, some cherries, some bourbon- more as it warms, light oak and white grapes. Has a generally fruity aroma. Flavors of malt, caramel, bourbon, oak, some cherries. Also has a generally fruity flavor. Smooth, a very good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
Kind of a plain Quad, but really good. The barrels are solid. This is best when fully warmed. Very enjoyable.
