I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: medium red-brown hue with a moderate haze and a thin finger of ivory foam. Not bad!
Smell: caramelly malt aroma with a little bit of earthy hops and a little breadiness. Pretty standard for a craft ESB.
Taste: caramelly, sticky malt flavor with a fair shake of sweetness. There's an OK earth flavor with a fairly decent level of bitterness. Not bad, though the sweetness is a little much.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this is a solid beer for an American-made ESB.
