Black Panda breaks the stereotypes about dark lagers. It turned out great, not sweet, and is wonderfully drinkable and refreshing. You'll notice roasted malt, which adds interesting notes of roasted coffee beans. The distinct hop aroma of the fine Saaz and the stronger Premiant hops supports a higher, yet not overpowering bitterness, and a pleasant carbonation. We don’t brew this type of beer often, so don’t hesitate to try it – it’s worth it.

The beer appears dark red, with some mohagany effect; the foam is hight compact (capuccino color) very nice.
At the nose it start with a malty base (but non too sweet), with a good hazelnut effect, a hint of herbal notes and some rhubarb.
The same in mounth, with some coffee burn, rhunarb and hay, but all on a malt backbone.
Balanced, good, perhaps not stand out, but pleasant

500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 5.4%. Very dark reddish brown colour, nearly black. Large beige head. Aroma of caramel and brown bread, hints of dust. The flavour is not too sweet, but has notes of roast malts, brown bread, caramel, coffee and burnt breadcrumbs. Distinct bittering hops in the finish.

Copenhagen 7/5 2025. 40 cl on tap at Tap 21, H.C. Ørstedsvej, Frb. C.
Pours clear Dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,1 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling of the side of the glass. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a notable bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Nice and not too sweet Tmávy.
