Pours an unfiltered orange color with a sudsy white head that dissipates fairly quickly. The nose is ripe oranges and a nice bit of lemon.
The taste is led by the ripe oranges, but what differentiates this Citra-hopped WCIPA from others is the significant lemon flavor at the back of the palate, which works really well. There’s also a bit of biscuity malt.
The mouthfeel is medium and a bit drying. I’d drink this again.

Taster at brewery. Bright, clear golden, thin head, solid lacing. Light fruity, hoppy aroma. Taste begins with soft citrusy flavors before turning over to bittering citrus peel. oily feel, sticky.

Beautifully colored with great head and lacing. Nose is too perfume for my liking. The taste was a bit bready as it hit the palate but luckily it goes sway quickly. Good ipa.

I am trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear orangish with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had faint hints of citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus peel presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a fantastic sessionable beer.

Poured into a 10 oz snifter on tap at the brewery. On the darker side for an IPA, it had a thin white head that dissipated quickly into wisps that clung around the edges.
This beer smelled quite malty and sweet initially; honey, toast, and generic malt followed by a subtle tropical hoppy note and a touch of grass. Not bad, but not what I expect from an IPA.
Flavor follows the nose, very malty but not as sweet as expected. There is some balancing bitterness here, and a little bit of hops. Hopping and malt balance seem to be more on the level of an American Pale Ale. There is a slightly off flavor in the finish of this beer that builds on the palate - some astringent maybe overly toasted character. Unpleasant and nearly overwhelming by the end of the beer.
Overall, I will pass on this beer next time I see it on tap. It reminded me of an old school East Coast IPA with a new world hop and some funky malt character.
