The brewery that makes a winning recipe a twinning recipe, D's Nuts has gone pale.
Mirror Twin's Pale Nuts pours a solid medium brown and with a creamy but fleeting froth. Hazy to the eye, the beer carries a deep amber undertone. Aromas of toasted pecan, chocolate and a hint of coffee round the nose. Malty sweet to taste, the early palate is of caramel, chocolate and light toffee.
As the middle palate unfolds, the sweetness begins to relax and the beer's woodsy influence stems from grain and hops. Coffee, toast and nuttiness resonate soundly while light citrus, grassiness and pine carry into a drying, malty balanced flavor to finish.
Medium bodied and drying slightly, the beer's low lying carbonation allows for slight cola flatness to close the session. Almost minty in finish, the ale extends with a bitterness of peanut skins in a medium length aftertaste.
