Selecting the hop blend for an herbal, botanical and grassy array of flavor, the strong, smooth and hazy IPA of Mirror Twin uses Galaxy and Mosaic hops to give the careful blend of hops that's sure to appeal to horses near and far.
Haze for Horses pours with a slow separation between froth and ale. Very haze but off of turbid, the ale takes the appearance of white grapefruit juice which is simply a precursor of character to come. Its radiant perfume is chocked full of tropical fruit, citrus and a host of herbal notes. Sweetness of fruit tarte emits from the grains and hoppy fruit impressions as hints of sherbet and fructose emerge on the early palate.
Sweetness gradually fades and the hops gain steam in bringing those tropical fruit flavors to the foreground. Mango, pineapple, passionfruit and kiwi start the tangy and succulent flavor spread while a quick followup of white grapefruit add a sharper and slightly more acidic edge. Trailing with the herbaceous taste of hemp, geranium, chive and tropical fruit peels and the session comes full circle.
Moderately bitter in finish, the medium bodied beer has a smooth disposition as its final frame is bitter but relaxed in its grip on the gullet. A medium length aftertaste is redolent of fruit peels, dank grasses and an overall fruit punch character.
