Batch 2: A variant of the Cowabunga, Dude! chocolate milk stout, this strives to be an easy drinking peanut butter cup stout that hits the mark. The PB is prevalent throughout and never gets dry or overbearing, and the chocolate always lingers. Drinking a full glass is not a problem. Drinking two isn't a bad idea.

I had this in November 2023 after purchasing some for the Thanksgiving holiday break. Weirdly, it did not have much head on it, but it had very good peanut butter flavor, which is what matters in these stouts.

Served on tap at the brewery in a pint glass.
Look: Black, with a 1/2” tan head that gradually receded to a foam cap with abundant finely-bubbled lacing.
Nose: Milk chocolate and peanut butter, and a little brown sugar.
Attack: Add dark roast to the nose, and it follows the nose from there.
Finish: Some bitterness from the roast, which certainly fits, but then a slight lingering astringency that doesn’t, and is the reason I’m down-rating the taste and the overall rating.
Mouthfeel: Medium thick and creamy, adequate carbonation.
Overall: I really liked this brew till the aftertaste, and would rate it significantly higher if the brewer can find a way to eliminate the slight lingering astringency. Otherwise, a really solid beer!

16 ounce can, born on date of 7/31/2025 stamped on the label so pretty sure that's a misprint since that's 2 months from now. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head that stuck around a little while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells mostly like chocolate and peanut butter along with some roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some cream/lactose and coffee noticeable too. Doesn't have quite as much kick with the flavor though. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's somewhat slick and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this OK, but I'd like to try a fresher version of this again at some point.

I tried this beer off the tapper as part of a five sample flight at the brewery whilst in Lexington with the Old Oswego Crew for our annual beer trip. This was a very good stout with peanut butter and jelly scent and taste.

Drank on tap in a pint glass at Apollo pizza and taproom in Berea KY. The beer is a solidly opaque dark brow colour with a tan head. Smell is heavy on peanut butter but also has a good roasted backbone. Taste is sticky sweet somewhat as expected. The peanut butter comes in an unexpectedly large dose just before the finish, then washed down sugary sweet with milk chocolate. There is also some roasted coffee in there somewhere but it is quickly lost amongst the peanut butter flavor. This certainly nails the pb side, but is pretty cloying as an overall beer.

Much thanks to Richard and Alanna for this brew!
A: Dark black with very little head.
S: milk chocolate and peanut butter come out right away.
T: creamy milk chocolate, and peanut butter. light coffee flavor in the finish, and a nice milky sweetness.
M: Medium in body, with fairly low carbonation, although it was a growler fill, so that might not have been as intended. very nice creamy feel to the brew.
O: Overall a pretty darn enjoyable brew. Tasty, sweet, and peanut buttery.

Had a pour of this yesterday. Heavy on the PB, but not overbearing. Great smell. Great feel. Must get some more.

Loved this beer! It was my first PB stout, so I don’t have anything to compare the PB taste to, but I was surprised with how much PB tatlste was there, but certainly not too much
