Built for snowy, cold and short days, the brewers at Mirror Twin are giving us more than enough of a reason to get out of the house with an imperial brown ale that's doused with cinnamon and vanilla.
CinnAbrown pours a standard bark brown and crowns with a light tan, short statured froth. the decadence of chocolate, coffee and toast invites the creamy and spicy flavors of cinnabon to grace the nose. Sweetness strikes the tongue with equal parts caramel, toffee and whipping cream to start the decadence off on the right tastebud.
Sweetness and creaminess settles right in and resists any quick notion to fade. Layers of milk chocolate move in and delight the palate along with vanilla and coffee for a brief revelation of tiramisu. But the sweetness evenually gives way to the bitterness and huskiness of grain, coffee, cocoa and the broad woodsiness from hops.
Full bodied and settling on a creamy sweetness, the beer never approaches roasty territory as the late palate is lavish and dessert-like through a long, chocolaty and nutty aftertaste.
