The classic American pale ale meets a nouveau hop with a sense of grander and gratitude. In all its glory, the El Dorado hops accessorize the pale ale of Mirror Twin with complex taste and a simple charm.

Honey gold and with a moderate haze, Pale Dorado establishes a fruit fragrance over a white foamy cap with strong impressions of citrus, melon and orchard fruit along with a floral waft of honeysuckle and peppercorn. Gentle sweetness is equal parts of honey, caramel and granola.

The sweetness is soon joined with the hop flavors that represented so strongly in the nose. White grapefruit, tangy orange and a spicy lime and lemon combination comes ahead of a juicier taste of honeydew. A late palate charged with leaf, stem and grassiness is remiss of green tea, sassafras and an overall dried grassy bitterness that begins to pull ahead of the lasting malt sweetness in balance.

Medium bodied, creamy but trending dry, the El Dorado hops apply a spicy, peppery grassiness on the finish that facilitates dryness and balance. Crisp, clean and refreshing, the beer is simple in recipe but executed well in technique. Its medium length afterglow resonates with spicy grasses, dried citrus and tea once more.

I am trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear orangish with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had faint hints of citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus peel presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a fantastic sessionable beer.
