Pimping themselves out to the pantry of the world, Mirror Twin brewers don't limit their ingredients to simply hops, barley, yeast and water, but also using lactose, vanilla, strawberry and blood orange to fuel new and irresistible flavors in a New England styled IPA.
Turbidly golden and with a slight peachy hue, I Can Teach You But I'll Have To Charge comes with a creamy ivory foam. Swirling aromas of citrus and red berries come with the scent of sweet cream to suggest a citrusy, strawberry leading creamsicle scent. And that sweet cream impression glides onto the early palate along with light honey and pastry dough.
As the hop and cereal flavors continue to come together, its creamy textures are met with equally as creamy of taste. Blood oranges and strawberry allows the citrus to shine more than the berries, but the tangy berry character carries into a tropical hop taste of mango and apricot before trending spicy with tea, gin, mint and lemongrass for a smooth and slightly bitter finish.
Medium bodied and seeming fuller because of the effects of lactose and vanilla that keeps the session creamy in taste and texture. Citrus peels and a general sense of citronella lead into a medium length afterglow of creamsicle once more.
