Perhaps putting their last foot forward, the Mirror Twin team goes to work giving their White Girl Wasted blonde ale a summery makeover. This salted watermelon beer washes down the thirst ideally.
Hazy straw and topped with a light froth, When Life Gives You Melons... leads with a cereal, grain and melon scent that simply smells of summer. A light brine brings out the earthy and citrusy hops before its taste leads with a light cereal, dough, bread and honey sweetness.
The floral character of watermelon lifts and the blonde ale underneath trends mildly of apple, lemon and green berries from the fruitiness of the ale while the American hops contribute a light grapefruit and orange taste. But the juiciness of watermelon remains and gives the ale a plump nature that is rounded nicely with salt additions for greater appreciation of flavor and texture late in taste.
Medium bodied and soft with tartness, the beer strives to be a sour ale but stops shy of the distinctive tartness of gose. Retaining a measure of sweetness, the beer is friendly for a wide arrange of palates and built for ultimate thirst quenching and low fuss fare.
