If you love craft beer then there's a pretty good chance that you love your environment. But if you love a good standard lager then there's a pretty good chance that you love your environment too. So one dollar of each pint sold of Mirror Twin's collaborative beer with EcoBrick Project goes to a good environmental cause as well as quenching the the thirst.
Pale straw and brimming with a nearly bright clarity, the frothy but short froth extends into a mildly floral scent of honeysuckle and baking bread before washing the initial palate with grain sweetness, bread, wafer and agave.
Little changes in taste as the sweetness settles down quickly on the middle palate. But a drying taste of crackers, floral sweetness and freshly kilned grains extend shyly into the late palate while the floral character of hops transition to a spicy, grassy and herbal taste of parsley, lemongrass and arugula bite.
Medium light on the palate, the beer's moderate carbonation allows for a weight to settle on the tongue, not quite as brisk as the typical Northern German Lager, nor as bitter or as dry, the freshness of EcoBrick Exchange makes up for the slight lack in authenticity.
