Needing more vitamin C than ever, the brewing prowess of Mirror Twin boosts the immune system with a generous heaping of tangerine while boosting the morale with their "monster" of a Hazy IPA.
Richly hay in it appearance, a matte peach, orange and golden look restsunderneath a blanket of ivory froth. But Tangerine Monster really claims its name with the radiant citrus puree scent that simply glows from the glass. Tangy, succulent and oozing with citronella perfumes, a backdrop of light herb, tropical and melon helps complete the aromatic story. A sweet and agave taste accompanies an angel food softness along with peps of honeysuckle and pastry.
And as the flavors travel from the tip of the tongue and across the middle palate, the focus of taste shift from a light cakiness and toward the tangerine fruit and all its orange, mandarin and Valencia glory. Bringing its own tangy brightness, the fruit bleeds into the hops seamlessly with red grapefruit, mango and cantaloup character for a seamless blend. Moderate bitterness comes way of sun tea, lemon verbena and cedar for a culmination of sherbet and spruce on the late palate..
Medium bodied yet seemingly fuller, the beer is extra "juicy". Its bitterness leads the ale to a smooth and pepperyt bitterness. The highlight of tangerine completely dominates the taste for a strong and simplistic flavor that heavily favors the citrus fruit. A medium length extension of fruit comes with the spice of curacao that simmers lightly on the finish.
