Easy and effortless, that's what's needed in times of stress and strife. Mirror Twin meets these new demands with a well crafted, lager-like taste of refreshment. And a portion of the proceeds go to helping with the Team Kentucky fund.
Pouring pale straw, mimicking the appearance of pilsner except for its scant haze. Wafting off of its cottony white froth is a grainy sweet scent of cereal, bread dough and a floral nature of honeysuckle. Sweet and bready on the early palate, hints of honey, corn syrup and fresh baked breads lead the charge.
As the light ale rolls along, #TEAMKY lightens its malty load and develops a crisper, cracker-like taste ahead of a mild hop bite for balance. Part of citrus, part of grassiness, the late palate comes quick with esters of lemon and apple aiding in a light spice and an herbal brightness.
Medium light in body, the beer's lightness shows a creamy structure until the dryness catches up to the malt in finish. Slightly minty and sprucy, a very light gin-and-tonic character heads into a medium length aftertaste of hops and citrus.
