Taster at brewery. Pale golden, hazy, persistent creamy head, solid lacing. Subtle hoppy aroma. Taste is creamy, light sweet, fruity flavors, vanilla. super smooth

As a kid, I never wanted monsters under my bed. But if they are like these, then bring on the monsters! Mirror Twin Brewing's Monster series takes us back to a slightly more resinous, citrus dedicated taste with a focus on Amarillo hops in a double dry-hopped, late stage treatment.
Pale and nearly opaque with a hazy mate finish, Amarillo Monster leaps right out with a citrusy scent that's lead by grapefruit. Along with herbal, grassy and sprucy scents, the beer's character is first turned over to an initial taste of shortbread, light cereal and agave sweetness in a full and malty profile.
And as the Amarillo hops shine through the grains, its taste of pink grapefruit takes center stage. With a backdrop of tangy, under ripened oranges, a hint of lemon and a pep of pineapple, the hops show to be more than a one-dimensional taste. Trending crisp, bitter, yet remaining soft, a smooth but spicy bitterness seems of fresh spruce, fragrant grasses and a mild mannered peppery bite.
Medium full on the palate, this monster of a beer finishes malty-dry with a focus on light and peppery resins. An alcohol taste of botanical gin accompanies a medium long finish of muddled citrus peels and muddled pine needles.
