Let the good times roll! With generous additions of marshmallow and blood orange, Mirror Twin Brewing is showing that even during quarantine that they are a bucket of fun.
The lustrous New England-syled IPA steps into the smoothie IPA world with a golden matte glow with elements of taupe and sand. As blanket of ivory foam mounts on top, the rip-roaring scent of citronella takes top honors. Smoothly malted on the tongue, a sweetness of cereal, shortbread and vanilla cream provides a soft pillow of grain support early and often.
And that pastry character awaits a hop regimen of tangerine, red grapefruit, mango, pineapple and passionfruit flavors, only to be outdone by the blood orange additions. Trending smoothly bitter and lightly herbal, a late palate of verbena, green tea and light herb carries an essence of hemp and curacao liquor into spicy hop bite that remains soothed by the marshmallow cream.
Medium full and drying slightly at finish, a beautiful sense of drinkability comes in to win the palatability game at finish. A medium length afterglow of citrus and cream wafts gently onward for Funbucket's candied but brisk session overall.
