In both full celebration and experimentation with the Jarrylo hop variety, Mirror Twin brews up a standard American Pale Ale with the exclusive use of this relatively uncharted hop variety.
Light gold and held in a slight haze, Wacky Inflatable carries a mild and creamy froth into a scent of tropical, herbal, melon-like character. Gentle bready sweetness kicks off the taste along with light graham cracker and honeysuckle in a lighter and crisp early palate.
As the Jarrylo hops start to release their identity across the middle palate, the malt flavors start to recede. What emerges are juicy honeydew, papaya, pawpaw and a general citrusy orange brightness. Trending herbal, grassy and tea-like, the medium leveled bitterness decorates the late palate with a peppery lemongrass and sprucy sassafras spice.
Medium bodied yet somewhat drying on the finish, the Pale Ale has some more "juicy" attributes that are much more hazy-like, yet is slightly resinous and crisp much like a lighter bodied, lighter bittered west coast IPA.
