Taking lazy to a most intense level, Mirror Twin once again scales up one of their flagship Hazy IPA's. Fueled with a saturating amount of Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo hops, this lazy beer sees its greatest heights.
Triple! Hazy But Lazy pours with an opaque turbid golden appearance and with even more of aheavy silt-laden silky appeal than its lighter predecessors. The ale patiently releases an eggshell, creamy froth that hosts a strong bouquet of citrus, tropical and an botanical perfumes. Mouth watering with its scent alone, its floral rifeness leads to a honey dipped, pastry and doughy sweet maltiness as the ale rolls onto the tongue.
But then the ale extends on the middle palate as its malt influence holds serve and the hop aromas turn juicy, flavorful and radiant. Pink grapefruit, lemon, and orange all carry a branch ripe character with the pastry sweetness that's associated with ripe fruit sweetness. Tropical flavors join the symphony with mango, passionfruit and orange, but with an apricot roundness. A melon-like plumpness adds a element of cantaloupe before the ale closes with a smoothly bitter taste of fresh citronella, lemon balm, hemp and geranium.
Creamy, full bodied and trending decidedly malty, the "imperial" Imperial IPA does a great job of celebrating hoppiness without being particularly polarizing with bitterness. Its smooth finish is deterred only by a spicy ether taste of curacao liquor and vodka-like heat. Its long lasting and herbal aftertaste is moderately bitter with tropical fruit peels, English bitters and a stern suggestion of hemp.
