Forget the dessert pairing, Mirror Twin has invited a distinguished guest to the dinner party but only showing up for the after dinner course. Wrapped with fudgy goodness, a nearly reckless amount of chcoa, chocolate, vanilla an marshmallow are added to the glass. Yep, not the plate; but the beer glass.
Robert Brownie Jr. arrives with a very dark brown, nearly jet black appearance, crowning with a thick meringue of mocha froth. As its sweet and savory scent rolls off of the rim, the nose is stricken with chocolate cake batter. And the taste follows suit with a creamy, dense richness of nougat, chocolate, vanilla cream and mocha milkshake.
Slathering the tastebuds to completion, the decadent stout makes no pretenses about being a pastry rather than a beer, its rich chocolate fudge character is balanced only by the beer's natural coffee-like, nutty tendencies. Sweet, pleasantly cloying and rich from start to finish, its lack of bitterness only fuels the beer's dessert-like intent.
Full bodied and unappologetically rich, the beer finishes malty-sweet with a long extension of brownie and fudge. It's 16oz can is easily sharable between 46 or 67 people, however if you were to try to drink the entirety of the can in a single session, its advisable to administer an insulin shot halfway through, even if you're not diabetic.
