Teaming up with Old Louisville Brewing, the common haze of Mirror Twin meets a friendly, favorable and neighborly character of Old Louisville in a collaborative IPA that showcases the hops of Ekuanot and Sabro supremely well.
Pale gold and held in a milky matte finish, a creamy froth builds upon the rim. A full and fruity scent entices the nose with a cocktail of citrus, melon, tropical fruit and soft herbal botanicals ahead of a creamy sweet taste of cereal, honeysuckle and shortcake.
As the creamy grains mellow out on the middle palate, the hops begin to shine. A well melded blend of orange, apple, lime, mango, papaya and pawpaw are seamless in a true fruit cocktail fashion. Remaining creamy with that fruit presence, hints of coconut and vanilla give a roundness to the hoppy fruit impressions before the hops trend spicy, moderately bitter and curiously in the shape of cedar, mint, verbena, sassafras and sun tea.
Medium full in a rich and rounded early impression, but a quick turn to dryness allows a sharper hop edge to emerge and to define a woodsy, spicy and herbal finish with a medium length after tow of balsa, coconut and gin-like herbs. Its a very refreshing ale that carries a more drinkable sense of dryness and hop spice that allows for a greater degree of palatability.
