It's a reveal party! But probably not the kind you're thinking of. Its a beer reveal! Is it a ginger IPA or is it a lime IPA? Or is it both? Mirror Twin's new deliver for Hazeapalooza 2021 is the bests of both worlds proving that twinning is indeed winning.
Pale and burnish gold, the very hazy Ginger Reveal Party builds a tall and creamy froth before sharing the scents of citrus and spice with a soothing backdrop of vanilla and herb. Soft maltiness greets the tongue with the very first sip. The firm but crisp suggestions of shortbread, honeysuckle and graham crackers create a soothing cereal taste an texture early and often.
As the malts lighten across the middle palate, its a hop bouquet of orange, pineapple, lemon, lime and passionfruit that align on the tastebuds for a fruity and somewhat exotic tropical session. With the spice of ginger adding a light and zesty taste, its peppery character adds a crisp and refreshing character that plays well with the herbal hops. Trending moderately bitter late in its taste, hints of hemp, spruce, green tea and verbena add a comfortable balance in the presence of the ginger additions.
Medium body, crisp and clean, the beer drinks like a tropical fruit cocktail with a slight Thai-spice influence for a highly drinkable session. Lingering with the promise of ginger and lime, do I see a Bayleaf Shower in the near future?
