When dry becomes wet, you know you've covered the full spectrum. This revelation makes its way into beer making as Mirror Twin uses Spectrum Citra hop liquids in dry-hop stages to bring out the full and colorful potential of Citra hops.
Hop Prism comes shining with a radiant tangerine perfume that floats above a rather dull and hazy taupe appearance. Capped with a creamy ivory froth, the beer also shares herbal, tropical and complementary citrus tones on its way to a sweeter, creamier and starchier malt and cereal upstart.
As the creamy grains, cereal and doughy flavors simmer on the tastebuds, the flavor of hops blossom into a bold citronella character chocked full of branch-ripe tangerine, lemon and a hint of red grapefruit. A backup of mango, papaya and passionfruit bridge a tropical set of flavors before a closing of tea, hemp and spruce lead into a gin-like direction.
Medium full for standard IPA, the full and silted starchiness of the ale provides a soft and smooth base texture and taste to take an edge off of the bitterness while the full prism of citrus, herb and tropical fruit continue in a whimsical afterglow of aftertaste.
