Getting back to basics never tasted so good. The original beer of Pilzn of the Czech Republic sees new life at the Mirror Twin brewery.

Slightly haze and mid-straw in color, Czech Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself builds a fluffy stark white cap before greeting the nose with the familiar beer scent of lightly kilned pilsner malt and a soft herbal, floral hop presence. With its first sip, a fresh bready taste is cracker-like with hints of raw grain and a soft cereal quality.

As the malts roll across the middle palate, the sweetness drifts and the grains tighten into a semi-dry flavor which allows the hops to develop from floral scents and into a spicy, grassy and herbal offset of bitterness. With suggestions of lemon and apple drifting about the palate, the late taste is snappy with a light minty presence with lemongrass and sassafras.

Medium light in body, the beer is full for pilsner but is certainly mild mannered for beer overall. Familiar flavors for all drinkers of industrial light lagers, the sweet grains persist in finish with a glowing aftertaste of peppery grasses and lemon pepper that stems from the alcohol.
