Never ones to throw a cold shoulder, Mirror Twin brewers send a cold brewed IPA instead. Treated much like an India Pale Lager, but made as an ale, the brewery fights past the haze for this drier, crisper and cleaner hop bomb of a beer.
Cool Story Bro comes at us with a pale light gold appearance that's held if a medium chill haze. As the aromas of herbs, dried citrus and faint bready malts pass the nose, the first sip is supple with wafer, honeysuckle and monk fruit greets the tongue if even for a moment.
The malt sweetness is fast dissolving on the tongue just as the hops barge in with a classic pink grapefruit, orange peel and dried pineapple flavor. Quickly transitioning into a drier mid palate, the flavors favor a crisp, succinct and piney bitterness equipped with verbena, green tea, lemon pepper, cedar and spruce.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the beer finishes bitter but with a crisp and clean side to aid with drinkability, refreshment and overall rapid pace of consumption.
