Step aside smoothie and pastry, and say hello to candy bar! Snickerdoodle, hops and spice are all the rage at Mirror Twin brewing as the IPA turns sweet, smooth and full.
Haze-A-Doodle-Do comes with a dense visual appeal of banana cream appearance that sleeps underneath a blanket of stark white foam. Sweet and spicy aromas of vanilla, heavy cream cinnamon and citrus fill the nose in almost Christmas fashion while a taste of marshmallow, cereal, heavy cream and vanilla wafers greet the early palate with dessert-like effects.
With a rise of citrusy and tropical flavored hops, there's an overcast of tangerine, lime, pineapple, coconut and pawpaw that validates the beer as an IPA, but the stubborn flavors of cream, cinnamon, allspice and vanilla are nearly eggnog-like with a persistence of banana cream. A glimpse into bitterness offsets a scant amount of the available milk sugars while the beer still closes malty-sweet and simmering with warming spice.
Full bodied, creamy and bursting with flavors, there's also a sense of horchata that permeates the session as the beer finishes malty, cereal-like and full. Lingering with light bitterness and spice, the beer is both cool and warm at the same time.
