On tap in a pint glass.

Very pale gold with very little head, but I expect my bartender at this establishment was focused on a quantity pour.

Light aroma of flowers, grass, and honey.

Lovely effervescent flavors. Honeysuckle, hay, corn muffin. Medium-light bitterness that blends remarkably well to make for a smoother tasting experience. This doesn’t have a crisp bite, though it might with more carbonation.

Smooth, low carbonation that doesn’t necessarily suit. Light body.

Enjoyable lager that could used an amped up carbonation.

Followed after everyone's favorite Italian mafia drink- Italian Pilsner, Mirror Twin offers us a lager opportunity that we simply can't refuse.

Pale chrome, mostly clear and teeming with bubbles, That's Amore! floats a creamy white and airy froth in true pilsner form. As a scent of herb, grasses, green fruit and floral character rolls off of the foam, the first sip takes on a crisp, grainy-sweet taste with crackers, wafer and a hint of honeysuckle to start the show.

As the sweetness swiftly fades, the Saphir hops start to share their fruitier aspects of green berries, light apple, lemon and passionfruit. Light in its fruit impressions, the lager soon fades into an herbal bitterness of sassafras, hemp, hay and lemongrass for a slightly unique take on the classic European lager style but with a hoppy update.

Light, crisp and refreshing, the lager is a safe bet for any classic pilsner fan but done in a higher quality, Italian-styled, classic way and not the way of the lighter American lagers.
