With sun on the horizon, Mirror Twin selects some of the sunniest hops on the market for a New England-styled IPA that'll have the tastebuds on a beach vacation before they know it.
With the aid of Riwaka, Galaxy and Mosaic hops, Sun Striker comes with a pale, lemony and heavy translucence. As the foam captures a citrusy scent with herbal components, the supple sweetness is light with cereal, powdered sugar and shortbread.
As the hops open up on the middle palate, the full complement of citrus bring under ripened flavors of orange, white grapefruit, lemon and lime. With a tangy tropical medley of pineapple, papaya and passionfruit, the session soon turns to a smooth and herbal bitterness of green tea, verbena, sassafras and fresh cedar.
Medium bodied and finishing malty-dry, the beer is more crisp and refreshing than most hazy ale, giving it a medium length aftertaste of citrus peel and herbal grasses once more.
