Completely missing out on Valentines Day this year, Mirror Twin makes their apologies with a special little kiss anyway.
Pouring pale gold and with a firm haze, Kissed By A Rose On The Haze shares a faintest glimpse of a lemony matte appearance. As its frothy cap builds so does a floral perfume of citrus, tropical fruit, melon and botanical teas. Sweeter though on the early palate, a soft and creamy malt structure carries a cereal sweet taste with hints ofhoneysuckle, agave and vanilla.
As the malts slowly fade, the hops stray from a floral arrangement character and toward a fruitier taste of orange, pink grapefruit and lime from a more citrusy standpoint. Trending more tropical, the middle palate fills with passionfruit, papaya, kiwi and gooseberry. Hints of raspberry and cranberry have the session steering nearly tangy, the late palate is balanced in bitterness with flavors of tea, verbena, sassafras, turmeric and saffron.
Medium-light in body, the beer resides on the crisper side of malty-dry with a slight bitterness over sweetness as the session fades into a floral and herbal afterglow.
